H-01, at long, long last. He finally got here on Saturday, so... I started Stupid Toy Pictures. Guess what goes there.

T-Elos has been in New York for a week and a half. Fucking hurricane give me my other bitchbot. (I still don't know what she is, by the way. Human body but AI. The opposite of a cyborg? Grobyc? The whole thing's kind of confusing. Such is Xenosaga.)

Last week I made apocalypse pie! This week I made another. Only it's, you know, less apocalypse-y. Apple cranberry pie with a crumble top and about half the butter and sugar that was in the recipe. Geez, people. This is why I dislike supermarket pies. Cassie approves, so this is what matters.

Making another crocheted critter at the moment. I really have no idea what it is, but I have full confidence that it will let me know what it's done. As they do. Then maybe I'll finally move back to leather and complete some stupid ideas I've been waiting on. One's half-finished, and that's something.

We're screaming into that time of year when I'm cold and dizzy most of the time, but dammit I have coffee and tea and toys and an assortment of fingerless gloves and control of a thermostat and a monitor that throws off more heat than I ever would have imagined so all is well.

And since I'm boring, a couple of links I picked up. Toward Independence is a neat little article/transcribed talk about indie games--or should I say the people and culture behind them.

Don't you assholes blame the Sex Pistols for not-Dante. Not that I'm biased or anything, ha ha. Ha. Dammit. (For the last time, it's not about the fucking hair.)

Singularity Chess! Ow.

An article about people actually giving a damn about voice actors! Admittedly the fact that Frank Welker was mentioned at the start made me very happy.

And finally, a transcription of the 2005 Kenyon Commencement Address by David Foster Wallace. Trust me. From start to finish, go. This is water.
