Renfrew is further proof that I cannot do anything simple... but he's adorable, so whatever.

Things happening. Frankly I'm cold and tired and nonsensically working out stress by doing the gallery over. Kind of over. Over enough. So, links.

An interview with Chris Seavor, formerly of Rare. It really is an awful shame that the game industry seems to be kicking all of these types out. You know, people who say what they think and have a vicious sense of humor. Heh. There's also a very good point made about "what happened to" Rare... and that's unfortunate, as well. (Come on, guys, you know you want to make another Killer Instinct... Don't look at me like that.)

Michael Abbott talks about Skyward Sword and his "Zelda blind spot". I'm less and less convinced that I will ever want to play this game.

I don't know how long I've had FF Versus XIII on pre-order, and I don't want to know. But maybe it'll be done some day, yeah?

The Indiana Jones engagement ring really is a thing of beauty.

And for the Spidey fans out there: Peter and Venom replace Calvin and Hobbes. Well, I sure as hell laughed.

I do think many gamers have a blind spot when it comes to Zelda, but it's a blind spot to its merits more than to its flaws. The "Oh God the formula is still the same" line looks like rationalization to me, considering every gamer has some formulas (maybe it's cutscene-heavy military FPSes, or point-and-click adventure games) that they find perpetually engaging.
