No, I am not dead. Merely completely reworking the Shiny Things web site. One does not gain an appreciation for just how much work they have done until one tries to arrange all of it all over again (which is a longer process than anticipated when it comes to cutting up pictures, realizing you have larger pictures, comparing larger and smaller pictures, then seeing that the smaller pictures actually do look better, so that has to be rearranged). Well, not even all of it, just from when things started to get more or less decent. *snort* I'm quite hoping to be done by the end of the week. Then I can work on drabbles! And then the following week see if I stand even a slight chance of making it into Anime Boston's Artist's Alley next year. Point being, apologies it's taking me so damn long to respond to everything, but you know how I am while I'm working on something. (The pattern is as follows: 1. work until exhaustion; 2. zone out/relax/take a break out of need rather than desire; 3. repeat.)

I can't believe egg nog is out already. IT IS OCTOBER, LET US HAVE PUMPKINS FIRST. What the fuck, people. ...........I mean I bought some anyway, but still. It is lovely for making desserts.

Since I currently have no think by which to brain tonight, how 'bout some links. To anyone pissed at Sony/Playstation or EA/Oblivion: GamersOptOut will send a letter on your behalf to opt out of their class-action lawsuit clauses. Please at least donate enough to cover shipping and paper costs if you sign up, okay?

Adventure Time: Thatgamecompany on Journey. I love what thatgamecompany has done so far, and I love what Journey is looking like so far.

Sometimes a couple of guys dress up as Mario and Luigi and zoom through the streets of Tokyo on street-legal carts. How is this not awesome?

The very idea of Suda-51 and Kojima maybe someday collaborating makes my head hurt in an awesome way. (Still waiting for you and Nomura to come up with some serious awesome though, Kojima. METAL ADVENT GEAR CHILDREN, GO.)

Linked to for the eye rolls, to be honest: Why Gaming’s Most Famous Transgender Character Remains a Controversial Topic. Now you know I love my gorgeous honey, Poison (and sie still points at me while I'm working). And frankly I'm really quite grateful to Capcom for refusing to make an issue out of Poison's sex--though that in itself has become an issue, and that's kind of annoying. Not for Capcom's stance, I don't think; there are still "Is Poison a dude?" discussions in the most unlikely of places. Whatever, I care not; the fact that sie is a playable character in Street Fighter X Tekken makes me unbelievably happy, though.

A 12-inch Crimson Guard?!?! Hell yes! ...$133.99? ...Nevermind.

ATTENTION TOY MANUFACTURERS. Do you see this? More specifically, the text: "Products will be made-to-order." How about we start looking into that if you have, say, some very popular figures? Wouldn't that be nice? Bandai? Bandai? Surely having money thrown at you is not a bad thing, right?

Do eternally optimistic people just have malfunctioning frontal lobes? made me laugh. A lot.

And while we're on the subject of things that make me laugh, sometimes inexplicably, the Tokidoki Barbie somehow just amuses the hell out of me.
