Anyone care to guess how many glass beads are represented by this picture? Enough to make me feel a bit ill, at least. Yes, most of the information is available if you know where to look... but definitely not all. I know because I just had to figure it out for a couple of them. Counting delicas =/= fun. I'd offer a prize or something, but... I have nothing to offer. A hearty handshake?

So it was a "crap work" day since my hands and wrists were just too iffy to keep crocheting with. Dragged the luggage downstairs, made a mess of the boiler room floor which will likely remain there until the night before I leave, started arranging things to be packed, and started on the dreaded task of price tags. I don't know why, I just despise it a touch. It's a menial annoyance, but my ow fault for wanting irregular-sized and -shaped tags to begin with. Ah well, it'll get done. I made a huge dent in the beaded stuff today before the onset of a "staring at shiny things too long" headache.

Time for your daily dose of Tron-ness from me, apparently. Yes, dammit, I'm a pirate. (I wish I had enough icons to use my pirate!Cloud one, but alas, I will not pay LJ for anything.) Thought I'd get that out of the way before I discuss the official Tron: Legacy soundtrack remix album. To be fair, I'd have bought if it I liked it--and I damn well test before buying. ...I liked Moby's, so I'll be paying for that one soon. And... er... Maybe I should listen to it again, but... I get the feeling I'll purge the hard drive of the rest. Guess it's just not my thing. (I do have quite an "interesting" taste in music, though. I adore the movie's original soundtrack, if that says anything. Love me some Moby, some VNV Nation and Planet Funk... but maybe the difference is also how those artists relate to their subject matter. ...Okay, that's a whole other conversation.) Despite knowing this will sound completely stupid... nothing feels right. It's a little like people made similar songs and tacked on some of the original at the end without taking into account the feel of the original? If that makes sense? I always liked remixes that were... you know... clearly representative of the original source but different enough to stand on their own. I have no idea what this stuff is, but again, just not my thing. What I really love, however, is this little collection of fan-made remixes. And since it is fan-made, the Bio-Digital Jazz Edition is free and available for download if you care to take it for a spin.

Ha ha, I swear writing and commenting is going to happen sometime within the next... uh, soon. For now I need food, alcohol and relaxation. It seems it's time for Nature's little joke to remind me that I am still quite physically female. Nature and I are so not getting along lately.
