BITTEN BY A RADIOACTIVE TIGER.

Bonus picture. I take breaks with toys.

So, new project. Is sort of revisiting an old project, but of course still making it original. And wire. Dammit, wire. For those of you familiar with guitar, this process is a little like running your fingers up and down the fret board while pressing really hard for several hours. Only all of the strings are high E. And out to murder your fingers. But using tools makes it all too tight and risks breaking beads so... I am dumb. At least that part's mostly over with today. With just a little left for tomorrow. And then... lots more work, still. But very little of it will be wire, is the point.

And then I was made fun of for drinking merlot out of a miniature jam jar. This has nothing to do with anything, just a fun mental image for you.

Since I'm still not very entertaining, links! I remain of the opinion that trying to convince people that something is art is silly. Still, the "are games art?" debate rages, and sometimes there's an interesting 7-minute PBS video about it.

Besides, we already know that games are art, because Jackie Chan dressed up as Chun Li and kicked ass. (Add to the "hotter than it should be" pile.)

It's just too damn interesting not to post a link to: He Asked About Misogyny in Street Fighter, and the Game’s Caretakers Didn’t Dodge. This time it's not a bunch of bad-stereotype feminists seeing who can make themselves look the worst. Seriously, interesting stuff.

Also of interest: Player Metrics Vs. The Vocal Minority. Or, "stop listening to loud assholes."

And this is a story both wonderful and heart-wrenching: The Painful, Beautiful Parting of Two Brothers Bound by Gaming. Of course I am reminded of Zellie. But I have no worries; surely she has already established plenty of uber-arcades in the afterlife, all of them with plenty of Zelda titles.

Finally, some deliciously amazing mechanical sculpture, The Guardian of the Hole.

Now I'm going to do something that has nothing to do with hurting my fingers. I hope.
