Sadly it has been a completely shit week for me, health-/porphyria-wise, hence silence. Monday was the worst of it, when everything came crashing down. I haven't had that many symptoms, that strong, in quite a long time; having seemingly no trigger for it was just an added bonus. There's still some back pain and tightened back and neck muscles every so often, but meh, it's barely there now. I'm just glad I'm not dealing with the sensation changes again because that's real fun when you do things with your hands. And vertigo... well, I'm kind of used to that. I really wonder what I look like while walking to most people. Not being hungry is a desperate pain when you know you really ought to be eating so it won't get worse, but I found that my appetite returned yesterday so yay. ...Yesterday at 1:00 AM, but still.
But today? Today has been good. Went to see the eye doctor again, internally cringing since the rest of the week had been crap, and... I don't have to go back. The cuts on my eyes are healed, I can stop using the prescription drops and just need to keep using the regular ones "for a while", "a few times a day", because my eyes are still dry. I didn't question the vagueness, I just thanked him and got the hell out of there. And then I got "surprise pasta". Good for carb fixes and renewed appetites.
I figured that since that was good news and I'm feeling better, I'd share in the love of some shinies I got recently or exceptional value (and thanks entirely to commission money *bow* *scrape*)... but not what they're for, oh no. That will wait. So I saw a random assortment of fiber optic (cat's eye) cabochons for a ridiculous discount and pounced (particularly because I'd been wanting them for some time). I wound up with a bunch of large ones, and an incredible pile of little ones. And that was good, yes. But then... then I was researching something and just had to take a look at Ebay... I got rhinestones. I got a lot of rhinestones for an astonishingly good price. For a "people were obviously not paying attention" price. Now, very few of them are Swarovski, so the price makes sense, but... even then, these aren't shit. There's the little round assortment, first. Nice, aren't they? What's up with that random milky pink one at the bottom middle, though? It amuses me, somehow. Anyway. Then there are the navette shapes, which is a fancy work for "rounded diamond-ish". I assume. Then came pears. And finally... the random assortment. What you do not see here is the assortment of freaking molecule-sized rhinestones underneath, which just fascinated the hell out of me. So very tiny. So maddening to work with, I'm sure. WHAT HAVE I DONE? ...*gets distracted by running fingers through shinies*
...Right, so. Monday I continue on with Project OMGWTFF. And this weekend I... try not to do anything much with my hands, apparently. This resting thing is so boring.
The Wild Tiger figure will be released in a matter of weeks! I... really need to clean the shelves. Well fuck. As for Superhero Saturday, Kotetsu, don't you dare break the darkened, solid mass that passes for my heart. (And Pixiv, dear Pixiv, , you must stop the Black Tiger art. It's only getting encouraging. Wha ha ha. Ahem.)
