Part of my standard "still alive, just busy working" updates. I had planned to work this morning. Instead I wound up washing strawberries and making shortcake (and discovering that yes indeed, no matter what it's used in, Bisquick will always taste like Bisquick; but that's not really a bad thing to me). Some things take priority, you know?

Do not know what the hell is up with my body today, as usual. I'm supposing it probably has to do with the sun finally being out for extended periods of time, and plants going, "Yay, it's time to spread horrific allergens!" Woke up feeling like I hadn't gone to sleep (I did, I swear I did, I even had dreams!) with aching everything and the vertigo deciding to surprise me by being extremely strong every so often. You know, only when I least expect it or walk into a new room so I can slam into the doorway. And the less said about phlegm, the better. Good times. I hope you find this funny, Nature. I want you to be laughing when we finally meet, particularly at that moment when I punch you in the face.

So, dream! The clarity of obsessing about Tiger & Bunny comes through in weird ways. Mainly that I dreamed of a minotaur that was not all that dissimilar from Rock Bison; only giant and an actual minotaur in armor, so it was admittedly cooler. And in a labyrinth, which gets cool points anyway (particularly because the whole look of the place was very Shadow of the Colossus). He'd been trapped there by runes for generations and I'd planned to try to free him by destroying the stones that the runes were written on and... then I woke up, and that was pretty disappointing. I will assume I freed him, dammit. He was remarkably polite for a minotaur. I think. I guess I can't really say, as I've never met one before. (Well, there was Valus in Colossus, but... I'd like to think that anything you're going to stab in the head will try to kill you first. ...Yes, I still feel bad about all of them. Unclean in a wholly different way than I'm used to.)

Ha ha, I have no idea how the old Ocarina of Time "hidden sound" rips got mixed into the usual audio folder, but the randomizer selecting the file entitled "odd screams" was an experience right after a soft song.

And with that, how about links. Video games are now, officially, protected forms of free speech in the US. Which only means as much as gamers and game makers allow it to, but let me quote the article:
"That video games are protected speech seems blindingly obvious. Now that this distraction is out of the way, lets see the creation of more games like Bioshock, like Shadow of the Colossus, like Flower, games that make you think, that explore new ideas, that shake up preconceived notions.

"Video game makers have an opportunity in this decision to prove the value and worth of their medium in the face of acceptance at a level that perhaps few game makers ever thought would occur."
THERE IS STILL ROOM FOR STUPID FUN, THOUGH. Yes, it had to be said. In caps.

I love this guy's work so much. And this "custom" (though I'm always going to think of him as a sculptor/artist rather than just a figure customizer, because damn), "This is Not the End", is just the latest in a long line of drool-worthy awesomeness. Beautiful, haunting, want.

New Pixar movie trailer for Brave. I love Pixar. So much.

This shirt tempts me. I'm going to admit that I'm not much of a Rodimus Prime fan, though.

At last! A new Ecto-1! A new--wait. 1:43 scale... $44.99. ...*closes tab in disgust* You are just out to lose all of your old customers, aren't you Mattel? (Admittedly, I still love the retro figures [big Real Ghostbusters fan here], but... even at 8" tall, those figures aren't quite looking up to $20 a pop. I guess I'm not sold on "real clothes". I'd rather have a new Battle Cat, but I won't even get into how over-priced I find that line to be. I know, plastic's expensive, these are "for collectors", but... just, no. No. I have my original Battle Cat, he makes me happy, you can still pick one up complete for less than a new version, it's cool.)

The fact that such excellent cosplay for Bunny & Tiger already exists is so... dangerous. I will not consider femme!Kotetsu, I will not consider femme!Kotetsu...

This makes me laugh so very hard.

And check out these gorgeous blown glass rayguns. Just 'cause.

Going to go tell my muscles to go screw themselves with some goldschlager and get back to work. You would be amazed at how well drinking and beading go together. And it makes me feel like a real artist!
