Yep, E3 is already killing me in slow and unkind ways. ...But S-E taught me how to enjoy it. *grin* I really wish there wasn't so much emphasis put on motion controllers, but I guess that's the "next great thing". ...Great. But it's not so bad, I suppose. I've certainly come a step closer to wanting a Wii. I need more footage of that new Zelda before I can decide... but it looks like it has incredible potential. The blend of ultra-realistic and cell shading amused me some--but it looks good. The Iwata Asks on the subject just makes me feel better about it. Sad that The Last Guardian didn't feel polished enough to show off, but I completely understand and have it on pre-order anyway. Metal Gear Solid: Rising intrigues me. My favorite armless cyborg ninja, after all. Despite news of a Twisted Metal for PS3... I fail to care. How sad. (Yes, I know it's ridiculous--but I don't like Sweet Tooth as a cartoon character. He's a fucking unstable psychopathic clown--he's supposed to be scary. As is the whole competition. That kind of got abandoned along the way. Though I still love the hell out of Black and Head On is thoroughly enjoyable.) I do kinda hope for a surprise showing of Versus, but not holding my breath. Birth By Sleep is one I've had pre-ordered forever, and after listening to the trailer more times than I care to admit... yes, I think a very certain character is voiced by who I was hoping he would be. And this is awesome. If Terra really is Christian Bale... this is awesome and hilarious, too. Only Kingdom Hearts could crash so many universes together. *snort* Star Wars vs Star Trek vs Batman, FIGHT!
After paying for Vash and Wolfwood (who are already in NY, holy shit, yay EMS!!--it'll take a week to get here anyway, won't it?), then giving into another fit of geeky surrender, TRNS-01 will just have to pass me by for the moment. Alas, Japanese toys once again seek my favor... and my long-beloved boys are just more important than the pink femmebot. I know, I know, my Transfan core weeps just a little. I'm an artist, dammit, I can only afford toys from one country at a time. Fingers crossed for an end-of-the-month release for a certain pair of demon hunters, too. (More expensive than waiting until September? According to my calculations, yes. Worth the investment? I desperately hope so. Especially since if they happen to release on time I'll get an additional 15% off. Amiami, you are dangerous to me. ...I wonder who will have Dissidia Sephiroth up for pre-order first... and if I will be further tempted to grab Firion too... Squally-boy needs a foil here.) So yeah, I'm pretty much working for toys and video games. You all knew this already. The downstairs renovation better include a shitload of shelving.
Luckily, I am working and making deals here and there. Yay. *grin* Though for now, my hands hurt, my legs hurt, and there's another enormous bowl full of fresh cherries that need to be devoured.
...And from the other room, blaring, is "We Don't Need Another Hero". Which somehow reminds me that I think I need to see me the original Ninja Turtles movie again this weekend. With pizza. Hell yeah. You whipper snappers don't know what you're missing--old geekdom is so much better. Stand there while I hit you with my cane!
