Was forced to order a new monitor yesterday since my old one was going into death throes. *rubs temples* Oh how I know the death throes of a monitor. Whee. Of course I ultimately spent more on a new one than I was looking to, but... I still have a cushion of pre-orders, most of which won't be arriving for months, it was time to upgrade to a nice LCD flat screen monitor so I can see better color to be able to get better color correction for my beaded things, a three year warranty suits me just fine, and... free next-day shipping is pretty fucking awesome. So yes, I'm already using my new monitor. And wow is it nice. And hard to get used to 1600 x 900, but... I'm surviving.

...This hardwood floor beneath me is rather clearly not level due to the fact that I keep sliding left, away from the keyboard. This has been resulting in random laughter for some time now, but it keeps people moving right past my door. Strange considering the plethora of toys and consoles should be doing that. Maybe I need Poison closer to the door.

Anyway. I must thank Kotaku for introducing me to some of the loveliest animation I've ever seen. I call attention specifically to Monstera Deliciosa and Le lac gelé, which happen to be favorites of mine. Watching them on a 20" LCD monitor is an incredible joy, but watching them yesterday on the old monitor was no less incredible.

Now I have to make up for my stupid by making yet more beaded things because I am dumb, and toys still call to me.

Then you'll enjoy my trials with this damn chair. The wheels will not stay in place no matter how many times I try to tighten them and so they keep unscrewing themselves. Each wheel winds up at a different height by the end of the week. Every week.
