Okay, so I picked up the re-release NECA Tron because he's the harder one to find. Flynns, Sarks and Warriors are pretty much fucking everywhere.

New socks, new underwear, new slippers--IT'S LIKE I'M RICH OR SOMETHING.

Made a first run of a lightcycle charm this morning, so I'll have to pick at and perfect that. I'm kind of liking painted details rather than etched/carved, but we'll see. It's supposed to be simple. Simple is easier, simple is cheaper... but can I do simple... Also playing with level of detail on identity disk charms. At least that's easier. Hopefully they'll be ready to show off soon. I should probably remember to buy paint, now that I think of it.

The picture of Tivona that I used for my table sign at Anime Boston got loads of attention. I always did want to go back and make a few more little jewel dragons. And then I just kind of actually realized last night: holy crap, I can do whatever the hell I fucking want now. I'll be taking my sweet time, though, as "whatever I want" actually means "8-10 projects at the same time". I've yet to order roving, yarn and gemstone beads, but other beads are ordered. With patterns made. Yes, may of these are Tron-related. ...And the rest are S-E-related.

Ignoring the details due to likely needing a long, complicated explanation, I wound up with a small pot of bamboo and a refrigerator full of food. The latter overjoys me more, but I don't mind the bamboo. ...I just hope it survives. The money tree, coffee plant and ivies have been thriving, though. I have fruit and vegetables and hummus and ground turkey! Which isn't as exciting as the rest, but can be spiced and cooked to be exciting! I'll probably just make a giant stir fry of some variety and be very pleased with myself for a few days. There are plans to make a giant peanut butter cookie, too. I cannot explain the sudden urge to cook when warm weather hits... mostly because warm weather is not so much "hitting" right now as it is "tapping on the window and running away".

Should be a drabble later. And boy, it should be interesting.

So, link time! Joshua Wise argues that games should be joy. I was grinning through most of the article, myself. (Christians can game? Really? *ducks and covers head*) Here's a nice quote: "Games are meant for joy, in their making, in their playing, and in the reflection on them. Those who would remove joy from this very worthwhile pursuit are the enemies of those who make and play games." I did not read the comments. As usual, I advise the rest of you to ignore them as well.

And along the lines of Portal 2, let me just say that I can't play puzzle games. My brain does not function that way, it never will... but watching a play-through of Portal 2 was an incredibly satisfying experience. It's more than clear when something is crafted with love and devotion. A totally fucked up sense of humor makes it a million times better. THERE ARE LOTS OF SPOILERS HERE IF NOT EXCEPTIONALLY OBVIOUS BY THE TITLES ALONE. But I promise, even if you haven't played/completed the game yet, these are worth bookmarking for later. They are awesome. Valve On Portal 2: Spoiler Interview Part One, and
