And now "Broken Soldier" has a sixth chapter. Whoot and such-ness.

The beginning of the colors of fall. All of that will be dead soon. *snort* Oh how I hate the cold. But I will have full control of the downstairs thermostat, you see. Wha ha ha.

Between feeling crap this morning and needing to accompany Cassie to her vet appointment, I didn't do a thing downstairs except open and close the windows. I'm okay with that (particularly because I'm waiting for some wood glue to dry to reinforce my old rickety computer desk). My guitar wall mount came today, though. Nightshade will be pleased. Or another high E will snap and probably get my eye this time. Sort of anyone's guess. Much like where I should set up the recording equipment. Gah, details.

More video game meme stuff.

Surprisingly, games don't really remind me of specific people. Food, yes. People, no. I'm weird like that, I know. Zellie was one of the few people to find the level in Yoshi's Island titled "Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy" to be as hilarious as I did. It always did remind me of her, but more so now.

I'm not sure if the Kingdom Hearts series "counts" as it reminds me of all the people I'm close to. But I'll put it here anyway because my answer is just damn short this time.

Prompt list.

But here are a few links to make up for a short answer. Jim Rossignol writes about considering himself to be a cyborg through the act of playing video games in The Prosthetic Imagination. No, really, this is incredibly interesting stuff, the heart of which can be summed up by a single sentence: "This offers a strange kind of realisation: that we are probably at our most human when engaged in acts of simulation."

I only link to this because even Kojima and Akihra Yamaoko seem to be looking forward to The Last Guardian.

Kurt Wenner's street painting gallery. Truly amazing forced perspective work here.

All of that will be dead soon.

*nods* The world is beautiful when dying. (And having said that, I immediately gain access to a goth clique of my choice.)
