Have been completely reformatting DarkHorse Vendetta to make it easier to switch between formats in the future, and to get it on Lulu by the end of the week. ...Well, what a bitch. But it'll get done. Just nine more chapters to go, then some stylistic things. ...I suppose I should have planned a cover or something, but whatever. If black was good enough for Spinal Tap...
Was finally able to order Lightning Spliced today. (And just to further illustrate what kind of person Zellie Blake was [and still is, I'd argue], 100% of her book proceeds through Lulu are going to cancer.org. Because, seriously, fuck cancer.) Seeing how very many of her friends are honoring her rather than mourning her certainly makes smiling through the sadness easier... as does the fact that I just caught "awesome" as one of the book's descriptive tags. That's Zellie, alright. J.C. Hutchins writes about her far better than I ever could. And I've just remembered to thank him for liking my bracelet.
I keep forgetting to mention Devil May Look on in Horror updates, but you can pretty much expect a new comic every Sunday. This one is an intermission that's been waiting to happen for some weeks now. Oh, Wolfwood. I will never get used to your knees.
Which leads me into the very first figure that's going to go on my new shelves. I really prefer to think of this as a public service, since I could not for the life of me find a resource with side-by-side comparison of the bootleg Sebastian Michaelis... right next to the real Sebastian Michaelis. Yes, I did it. Yes, I was stupid for it. (But I was good! There was a payment plan!) And now I have a feature I like to call Butler vs Butler, FIGHT! (Might this be a peek into the future of DMLoiH..?)
Have found myself drawn back to Ghost in the Shell of late. Watched the first movie for the first time in ages, now working my way through Stand Alone Complex again. Forgot how much I loved the major. What a fucking hardass. *grin* Wish she had more figures.
Alright, more formatting must be done before anything else. But here's something (NSFW) to make everyone happy.
