Um, hi guys. Not dead, just eternally working/distracted. See: art blog, toy blog, personal blog and RP blog. See; Tumblr. It sort of works like my mind does, whereas LJ... does not. (Not that I'm abandoning LJ. I actually do read everything, I'm just shit at replies. I r a writer.)
I realized that I hadn't even talked about how awesome it was to be a part of Desert Bus this year, either. Totally already have a plan for next year.
I also just made chocolate and peanut butter squares of death. Oh my god. It's like an amalgam of cookie and fudge and all deadly. And there were other things, but they were healthier and far less deadly.
I seem to have accidentally fallen into watching a plethora of documentaries about quantum and theoretical physics at night. ...Yeah. Well, after you run out of cool outer space documentaries, what else are you going to do? Besides be extremely disappointed by the lack of actual intelligent documentaries surrounding artificial intelligence, that is. So, yeah. I'm hardly more intelligent, but it's delightful to have these other worlds to look through. ...Of course I've also been watching The Adventures of Teddy Ruxpin while I've been crocheting during the day. Hey, I never got to see all of them. (And yes I did/do still have a Teddy Ruxpin and a Grubby. They probably started my fascination with robots and animatronics. 'Course there was that incident when Teddy's eye fell into his head and all... but it was also fascinating to see how he worked. Shame I can't get a job repairing androids.)
Uh, what else could possibly exist besides shiny things, toys, food and robots/androids (and people to share them with)? Yeah, that's life for me. I could complain about body suck, but I'd rather just tell certain aspects of Nature to fuck off and barrel through the rest.
So, links? I did bookmark a small selection to share, anyway. MoMA to add 14 games to permanent collection. I was actually pleasantly surprised by quite a few of the choices.
Gaming the System: Oppression & Play. Because games truly are a form of expression.
And I guess while we're roughly on the subject of video games and expressions of sex, gender and sexuality, I really should link to Gaming Made Me: Fallout 2. I've loved RPS' "Gaming Made Me" semi-series, and this is no different and no less personal and interesting.
While I will never actually watch those Twilight movies, sometimes I feel that I am living for i09's reviews of them.
Finally, an absolute must-read for everyone I know; or, better, for everyone who knows me. The Glass Mountain And The Sensible Child.
Be well, creatures.
