I make shinies while I wait for things. It is what I do. TRON: Uprising, Beck's Beginning will supposedly be on YouTube tomorrow, so... that'd be nice after cleaning.

Yesterday I had quite a morning trying to figure out why AVG and Windows Update were fighting and trying to kill me in the process. They either made up or finally shut the hell up, and I don't really care which so long as they fucking stop it. I needed some freaking comfort food. Good thing I had plenty of it on hand. For some reason I was feeling stupidly industrious and made my own tortilla chips by scoring a tortilla into triangles, brushing it with olive oil and popping it in the oven. Magic! I also had pico de gallo (which I made), guacamole (made that, too--for the first time in over a freaking decade), a mix of lettuces (well, Nature made that), Spanish rice with Sriracha drizzled on it (I made the rice, but the Sriracha is clearly divine), and beans (I made ever so long ago which still aren't gone) with a little cheese (nope, didn't make that), 'cause why not. Then I had some of this for dessert. I ate it all and I'm not sorry. Well, Cassie helped.

And now that technology is pissing me off less, link time. Since it's about Mother's Day and all, I wanted to link to I Buy My Mom Video Games Every Mother’s Day. It Helped Heal Her. It's another one of those stories presenting games as "more than games". Frankly I'd love to gift my DS to my mother, but... I only have two games for it. One of these days.

And along the lines of games being "more than 'just games'", this Papo & Yo dev diary is worth sharing. The idea of being able to share your pain in a creative way being what actually frees you and might be helpful to others... yes. It is very, very yes.

Using Flower as part of a religious service. Unexpected and yet... not really.

Translated KH3D Nomura interview time! It really should be obvious that there are spoilers everywhere. Spoilers and question evading. I mean, it's a Nomura interview. Bits of the "scenario mysteries" are head explode-y, though. Gotta love that.

It must be said that if rumors about the PS4 regarding the inability to play used games or a subscription service are true, I do not care if the impossible miracle of KH3, The Last Guardian and Versus come out for it all on one value pack; I am not fucking buying it. Some people like to pay to be treated like shit. I am not one of them. Sony. No.

And finally, a little Maurice Sendak wisdom. I really do need to read more of his stuff, methinks.
