Quick little reminder: there's just a little over 24 hours left for the 20% off sale at my Etsy shop. I personally don't plan to have another until November, so... if you see something you fancy, pounce with all of the pouncing pounciness that you can pounce. Pouncer.

Once again the sky is just so, and walking up the stairs at night is always a little breath-taking since the moonlight shines directly through the glass in and around the front door, spilling silver-blue light everywhere. Strawberries are on sale for the second week in a row and I made shortcakes. I'm working on a critter and hoping for a commission, and another of my creatures has a good home. I picked up Birth By Sleep again today and actually advanced a little, so miracles can happen. Maybe. (Oh, I'll finish it eventually.) I will have things coming from Japan in May. I watched Monster Maker again (YouTube link to part 1) and realize so many things now that I hadn't the last time I'd seen it. (I can admit that at the back of my mind, I'd always wanted to work for Henson. The past decade or so crushed that desire into a fine paste of heartache, but luckily heartache paste makes excellent glue for building awesome things.) My semi-worthless body cannot dull my happiness over the beautifully simple things. A high pain tolerance also helps, I find. Like how I finally subjected the wasband to the Street Fighter movie over pizza and a shared appreciation of Raul Julia. It's scary to look back and say that movie pulled more directly from the video games than most. Really, really scary.

I guess I should just get to the massive list of links since my life lacks entertainment value, yes? The Joy of Making Time is part of what convinced me to make today a fuck-off day. These days are needed every so often.

I'm just going to come right out and say that I'm really goddamn sick and tired of hearing a mass of spoiled internet brats demanding Mass Effect 3 change the ending. And here's why, stated better than I could manage: "You have no right to petition artists to change their art. You can not like it, you can not buy it, you can not enjoy it, that's fine. Bitch all you want, [but] you can not petition them." I'm glad to see that BioWare has grown a pair and said they're not changing the ending... though I wonder what good an expansion will do. We'll see, I suppose.

So let's shift subjects to what made me laugh much, much harder than it should have: these couple of videos of Skate 3 glitches and overall magnificent demonstration of rag doll physics.

I'll admit, the latest Nomura interview made me laugh in several places. He seems a lot more tired of the interviewers than he does of Kingdom Hearts.

Nintendo states: "We understand that people like to dissect graphics and processing power, but the experience of playing will always be more important than raw numbers." I want to believe you. So much.

A little piece on Jenova Chen, of Journey, Flower, flOw and Cloud. Just 'cause I enjoyed it.

Teachers Blame Violent Games For, Um, Everything. "By dumping everything on gaming, the real reasons a child may be lonely, excluded, or unwell goes unrecognised, and that child goes unhelped, and that's why we get so utterly furious at this sort of empty, scaremongering rhetoric."

Fan films just keep getting better and better. So I had to share this Pac-Man one. No, not just because it looks Tron-esque. ...........But that's part of it.

And in case anyone missed Modern War Gear Solid, the whole thing is available in HD on YouTube now.

But back to Tron. You bitches are teasing us again.

Mother's Legacy: Engendering AI in Videogames is of extreme interest to me... but then I am me.

Why Geek Matters. It was worth linking to.

And so they are calling dark energy "confirmed". The idea of the universe being formed by sound waves makes me smile, and makes every musician say "I told you so."

Have you ever wondered what "Come Together" would sound like as performed by robots? Wonder no more!

I know I linked to this a while back, but seriously, if you've never seen the Muppet Show pitch, you need to. I have no idea how anyone could resist.
