Guess what the second set will be. Go ahead, guess.

So today I finally tried to salvage a pot I was given years ago... because food was burned in it. Ah, gifts. *grin* Seriously, even back then I tried everything and nothing worked... so this morning I broke out the heavy duty copper scrubbers and showed the fucker who was boss. And my arm hurts a lot, but dammit. Still don't know if I can use it for food, but I suppose I'll be finding out. In other news, spring must be close because it's windy as hell and my body's tensing up like crazy. Whee, new allergies time. So that is my exciting life. Let's move onto links.

I've been sharing this with as many people as possible: Kara, Quantic Dream's latest tech demo. I really, really hope they take this idea further, though; I want to know the world she lives in, and I desperately want to know what happens to her. It's not just an amazing piece of tech, the full video running on PS3 hardware; it's an amazing story. Not quite 7 minutes did more for me than a hell of a lot of 2 hour movies of late. Still... it's a weird thing to want to know a fictional character will be alright. (...I'm used to it, though. Heh.)

Quantum Suicide: How to Prove the Multiverse Exists, in the Most Violent Way Possible amuses me a great deal. "For his part, Max Tegmark once said — probably with his tongue planted firmly in his cheek — that he might someday try the experiment, but only once he's old and crazy, and thus his death in most of the universe wouldn't be quite so hard for others bear."

Stan Winston is missed more and more each year as practical effects continue to be left behind in favor of completely shitty-looking CGI. Do yourself a favor and honor the man by taking a look at his work on the Jurassic Park movies and more, yes? (Needs more T2. As everything does.)

That One Time Dr. Seuss Published A Book Full Of Naked Ladies amuses me, but Seuss' comments amuse me more. "'I'd rather write for kids,' he later explained. 'They're more appreciative; adults are obsolete children, and the hell with them.'"

10 Amazing Real-World Locations for Fantasy Worldbuilding is just full of gorgeous.

And finally, Neil Degrasse Tyson's answer to "What is the most astounding fact you can share with us about the Universe?" mixed with "To Build a Home" by the Cinematic Orchestra. If it doesn't bring a smile to your face then you must already be dead. Consider lending a hand to the Quantum Suicide experiment?
