Between commissioned call bracelets and a longer project, there was a needle felted Tachikoma.

There have been trials. The web site was basically down for a few days due to a security threat which is really only partially understood; but we'll just say I'm not with that hosting provider anymore. Still waiting for the domain to transfer over, dammit. I have learned more about MySQL and phpMyAdmin and the structure of databases than I ever wanted to know and am seeking desperately to forget, but the site is back to functioning and even better. I have more space for things. Not that there are all that many plans for anything that will interest anyone else, sadly. Yeah, sorry. I'm honestly debating what to do with the OrgLIX forums. The software is ancient, every month there are hundreds of spam e-mail addresses to block, there's obviously nothing new on the near horizon (someday dammit; when I can open the mixing program without wanting to throw up), so... I don't know. It's all backed up, in any case.

But Bunn--er, Barnaby is on his way here, and that makes everything better. But it still makes my life boring as hell, so have some links.

Every artist, every artisan, every crafter, everyone who appreciates art, will already know the basic contents of The True Cost of Handmade and I Do Not Like These Shoes (But Maybe You Do). But it's still damn good reading, and Somer Sherwood makes points in particularly enjoyable ways. For everyone else, just read the posts. But do not read the comments on the first one. Just... don't. "Too stupid to live" is the term that keeps coming to mind. Congratulations to the proud owner of that hat.

I'm utterly in love with these transforming dragons. The completely terrifying thing is, I can see how they were built and how they work. And I never, ever want to use that knowledge. All of the pieces in the portfolio are beautiful, actually. But, you know. Me and transforming robots dragons.

Have you ever wanted to make a Flynn's Arcade out of gingerbread? WHO HASN'T?!?!

I present to you all The Interactive Periodic Table of Swearing. "Pushing a button and getting a sound is one of the simplest, most enjoyable forms of interaction we could think of. The swearing is a bonus."

And finally, a trailer for The Narrative of Victor Karloch. All you need to know is the name Heather Henson. Yes, that Henson. It's beautiful... but, SPOILER, keep the sound down. Ow.
