Heads-up to all friends, followers and watchers: I'll be having a big 20% off pre-[place winter holiday here] sale on all pre-made items in my Etsy shop over the first two weeks of November. (All made-to-order items will remain priced the same.)
Wound up kind of doing a lot of experimenting with the properties of polymer clay lately. I didn't really mean to, it just kind of happened. Well, I have learned some terrible things. *grin* Though also some awesome ones. Now to... figure out how to apply this knowledge in some useful manner. ...This may take a while. On the up-side I may literally have glitter in my veins now. Ha ha. Ha. Ow.
I did at least start drabbles. I attempted to write a warm-up drabble of my own choosing, but... um. It became clear very quickly that it was not going to be a drabble and would wind up long, kind of fucked up and kind of incredibly over-dramatic/cheesy/"what the hell was I on when I wrote this?" long AU so I pushed it into the background and started on the real things. No idea when they will be done, but surely by Thanksgi--er, Halloween. I meant. Yes.
Did somethingnecessary stupid with commission money. No doubt there will be pictures. I've been wanting it for some time, and since a third release went completely under everyone's radar, I snagged it for actual retail price, fuck you Ebay scalpers. In similar news, goddammit, Tiger, where the fuck are you and why are you not on my desk amusing me right now? And why the hell is Tiger & Bunny merchandise trying to take so much of my money away? (I'm shocked he's still available and seemingly selling slowly, frankly.)
It must be acknowledged that I've been living down here for about a year. Weird. Possibly over, since I have no concept of exactly when I started living here. I just remember days and days of unpacking and cleaning and vacuuming and hos revolting the carpet smelled for days and days. Yay improvements over time. Of course my desk makes it look at though I have indeed been living here for a year and ought to put some of this stuff "away"... ignoring the fact there is no "away" to put a good deal of it in.
So how about a couple of links since I fail so hard at entertainment? Valve Writers' Candid Thoughts On Creative Process is much too short but really quite interesting. And perhaps overly honest. "[Team Fortress 2] is us desperately trying to keep our jobs."
This Legend of Zelda mod for Medieval 2: Total War is fucking amazing. Zelda fans will seriously enjoy the hell out of the trailer, so do not miss it.
Sometimes gamer wedding stuff feels seriously creepy. Sometimes it is unbelievably awesome.
Electric DeLorean. No, really. That would be a great band name, wouldn't it?
And finally, you're going to need to be a He-Man fan to appreciate this one.
Now let's see what my brain and body can agree upon doing for the next few hours without fighting amongst themselves too much.
