I was actually quite glad to have finished that yesterday, since today we planned on doing a craft store run. Only instead of the usual, it was an independent place a few towns over (everything is "a few towns over" around here; I'll never get used to that), so... wow. The bottom floor was crafts, the top floor was fine art supplies, and it was packed full of all good things. I mean really, a little of everything. So I tried to stay away from the beads. I was good, I only got yarn... and broke down and got green iridescent pigment since I didn't have a a really bright green. Not for any reason in particular, you understand.
And yesterday I made fried rice. It's an accomplishment after... um... a lot of years not having made it. Homemade fried rice is so good, I'd forgotten. (I love it pretty much anywhere, but when I have reactions to MSG... yeah, it's better to avoid restaurant fried rice altogether.) So sure, what the hell, despite my camera's reluctance to focus properly, I figures I may as well take part in the Friend Rice Event. Of course I'm not going to bother prettying up my desk for the purpose. That's too much work. The rice is fucking awesome, though.
Okay, let's go off this (particular) crazy obsessive fan theme and get some links in here. I've said it over and over again, that games are more than just idle entertainment. Games ar emore than games. I absolutely love this example. Games will sure as hell teach you patience; or how to drop-kick a console out a window.
Example #2: iPhone Story, and how it's no longer available. Granted, the heavy-handed approach is often a bit of a joke, but... in this instance, it seemed to have worked a little too well.
CUSTOM TWILIGHT PRINCESS LINK ACTION FIGURE. Ahem. It's exciting, leave me alone. Nintendo does seem to be very slowly warming up to the idea of letting people make their characters into figures again, though (at least when it comes to Samus)... and I mean not the shit ones. (You will never be forgiven for that one, Nintendo. ...Not unless you make some decent Link figures. That are not $400 statues. But the scale is awesome, so do consider that.)
And finally, a time lapse video of gorgeous places. Pure and simple.
