I think I managed to confound a small group of people with the words in the subject line. Score.

More chocobo-related accomplishment today.
There's a sale on most Tron-related things over at the Disney Store. Not that I would know this. (I was good, I swear. Can't afford to be bad quite yet.) There you go, Disney, I did my very small part to fund a sequel. During a sale, but it still counts. You put out the Bluray, you get more money. If I didn't know any better I'd swear you were taking tips from S-E. (Pssst, Nero needs a lightcycle. *waves money*)
I'm still trying to figure out just what severely disappointed some people (the very vocal minority, or so I am told) about Tron: Legacy. And I'm not talking about the whole of the audience; I understand this shit isn't for everyone, let's face it. I'm referring mostly to the Tron geeks spouting pure venom about the sequel. To a point, sure, I get it; it's not the original. (And little could be; it had all of the qualities that a fun, "no one's actually watching so we can just have fun here" sci-fi romp needs.) That's always a sore point to people for some reason. Expanding the mythology, regardless of how many original people were involved, is always going to be wrong to someone. (FF7. *cough cough*) Man, I just... don't know. Of course I was too young to have seen the original in a theater, being 2 years old and living in Buttfuck Idaho and all, but I sure remember watching it with my father for the first time. (The same man who introduced me to The Twilight Zone, Star Trek and Star Wars; not to mention The Last Defender of Camelot. *covets her original hardcover copy like fucking crazy*) It was affecting, to put things mildly. Considering my father built computers for years upon years, and I'd started to help him and learned bits and pieces of Basic--dude, the programs were people and it was just rude to delete them. *grin* You would not believe my excitement over Space Paranoids in KH2. I mean seriously. That was so exciting--AND THERE WAS TRON! And ever since that Comicon teaser... oh, it hurt to wait. January of 2010 was fucking brutal, as that's when all of the advertising really started. For me personally, the movie lived up to the hype and then some. But... it's just my kind of movie. (And not that I mean to spread rumor that is, still, at this moment, only rumor, but... man I hope this is true. Intriguing as all hell.)
As for news of a certain woman playing a certain sexy Batman villain... oh bring it on. I was one of those people who'd have loved it if the rumors about Johnny Depp as The Riddler were true, but... this could be just as good. I have no reason not to trust Nolan now.
Now that I'm done with fan yammering, let's move onto links. Arcades aren't exactly on the rebound yet, but awesome places seem to keep appearing in my general area so it's hard to complain. *grin* Mmm, pinball. I love it so much and yet I suck so hard. Too much patience and attention required, I suspect.
Speaking of too much patience and attention, I really would love to play the Love MMO... except the fact it's an MMO. It looks even more awesome than it did before! But it's still so... no, to me. Just no.
I assume most of you already know who Gackt is, but even so, this is kind of an enjoyable (if short) article about the man.
Maybe this "uplifiting picspam" post is getting passed around like a virus, but for every bit of lukewarm platitude in image form, there is at least one thing of beauty like this: ( Under a cut because they`re images and one is sort of big and well, sometimes I`m fucking polite like that. )
Quantum theory, man. Let's go walking through walls. ...Eventually.
