Got a lot done today even if it doesn't look like it. I have curtains now! Whoo! Exciting! ...Oh, fine, but it's still nice. Technically, they're a little long. Okay, way too long. Could I fix them? Sure. Will I? ...I'll get back to you on that. I really don't care as the extra length is easy to hide when they're closed (they're above a ledge) and kind of neat when they're open and tied back, so... whatever. Got the computer desk moved into place and hoping the glue will make it more stable. The work desk is in too, though getting the lamp back on it won't be fun. Nightshade is now hanging proudly on the wall, and there's a beanbag chair in the corner... because I have to find a place to put it. The bed came this morning and the "ready-to-assemble" dresser came later in the afternoon so I'll have to figure out where those go. Eventually. A bit frustrating to know there's so much left to do, but at least the furniture save the computer chair is all accounted for (and that is apparently set to be delivered tomorrow). Oh the joy of putting furniture together. I'd rather make more holes in the walls, but...
It's really nice having carpet again. I just wish that disgusting new carpet smell would go away already. We had quite a heavy downpour for quite a while today and... I still haven't gone down to make sure there aren't any leaks. I'm currently content to simply being hopeful and checking tomorrow. Morning, preferably. Before coffee.
Body is still having it's little change in season freak-out. Oddly my joints are all seeming to be behaving themselves, so that's odd. Good-odd. We're all familiar with this concept by now, surely. It's nothing that a hearty dose of alcohol and denial can't fix at least. Except for the cough, which is kind of obviously due to the dust in the garage. Damn you, garage. Somehow this reminds me to load my PSP with music and bring it down as a makeshift MP3 player tomorrow. The acoustics in that room are surprisingly good.
