• Paying homage to my favorite demon hunter with this Let's Rock panel. Which is... not a complete piece yet because I have to figure out what I want to do with it first. At least I got it done before the boys arrived. What boys, you ask? I totally gave in. Fuck waiting until September.
I know, there has been quiet in multiple forms. Generally just annoying things going on here that aren't really worth wasting my time explaining. Still editing DarkHorse... somewhat slowly, but I'm getting there.

So I hear its Rah Rah America day or something. *grin* It's the sort of day when we should all marathon just Metal Gear Solid 4 with some pizza or a hamburger and not be an obnoxious fuckwit with constant day-long fireworks (especially like right now when it's still very light out, what the hell is wrong with you people?) and random low bass to extremely shitty music, okay? (I know, I know, everyone loves MGS3 better. Whatever. I know Big Boss is important and all and it's a good story but I just can't bring myself to care about him. Go figure--I go right for the bigger tragedies.) We did have a fighter jet fly really, really low earlier this afternoon because we're right between the airbase and Fenway Park. Luckily "Do a barrel roll!" consistently amuses me, even if no one else in this house gets it. Well, alright, even if they did it would still only be funny to me.

Now... do any of you snot-nosed whipper snappers know who Captain Harlock is? *grin* If so, check out the trailer for the CG movie due out in 2012. Yeah, it's a bit of a long wait. I'm pulled two very different directions. On what hand FUCKING AWESOME and HELLO YUKI and HELLO CAPTAIN and on the other I'm just... er. This is Captain Harlock, right? I guess it's too little to really get a hold of right now, though. Hell, it does look interesting. And Captain Harlock! Talking... a bit like... Batman. ...Well, I'll get over it. The fact it's all in English is still weird, though.

And with that, it's time for links-a-plenty. In case you were not aware, I find one of the very best things in the world to be a few free hours, a console of choice, and a little cup of something containing alcohol. Luckily, I am not alone. Consider The Drunken Moogle, creating drinks inspired by video games. Or there's The Art of Pairing Video Games With Booze, which is... pretty damn self-explanatory. I have taken none of these suggestions because there are too few things I can drink and afford. *snort* But it's still awesome.

And for more geeky awesome, check out these sci-fi dinner party ideas. Dude. EDIBLE CHESTBURSTER. If I cared to entertain or had friends who lived close enough to attend, man. *grin*

Like I need another game to watch out for, but the visuals of El Shaddai are absolutely fucking gorgeous. And, well... certain about-to-fall/fallen angels do tend to draw me in.

See What E3 Was Like Twenty Years Ago. It's really a collection of pictures and short descriptions, but it's truly awesome.

Of course I'm very much a believer in video games being capable of good, especially when it comes to distracting the player from pain or providing a place to work through mental/emotional turmoil--but once in a while there's a little bit of extra good coming along with it. The DS may be capable of saving a kid's eyesight, for instance.

And now for the bionic cat! It's nice to see advances being made and shared with the fuzzy little critters.

A modern-day esoteric shrine, deep beneath the Alps. You need to see it and read about it to believe it. Awesome/weird/cool as hell.

I think I found a new favorite pin-up artist. Yesssssss.

And, finally... Megan Fox becomes two narcissistically lesbian androids. Do you really need any more than that to look at these pictures? Oh so good. So, so good. (Ever since she slammed Michael Bay, I've taken a liking to her. *grin*)

Now I'll see if I can't manage to catch up on comments by the end of the day. Geez.
