The lengthy time it took for a follow-up post is due in part to con crud, and in part to "Oh, just one more level." I am gaming, and it feels good. I've got the HDTV set up just to my left so all it takes is a turn of the chair and THERE BE GAMES. Though I do have to set up the consoles individually, but... whatever. It's worth it. Alastor and Devil May Cry 4 haven't been the only ones getting my attention--I actually started to seriously play through Twilight Princess last night. Yes, I'm still on the fence about the game but... I can't deny that it feels Zelda, and is perfectly natural for me to play. Except for the fact that I keep trying to react for the Z-trigger. Dammit. I get the feeling that I should have played all the way through Wind Waker first, but... it's right next to me, so I can play it whenever. Onto the post-con ramble.
It is still strange to be back. *snort* I oddly do enjoy spending time with my tribe, even if it's just sitting there and watching them go by. And now the flirty ones will find out I'm really 29, divorced, partially sick, and unhealthily obsessed with video game hotties. Better luck next time.
As soon as I got back I handed over payment of my debt for the medical bills and went about carefully counting out my profits. And then I was a complete and total lunatic and pre-ordered everything I've been wanting to pre-order (Birth By Sleep, The Last Guardian, and Versus, because who needs accurate release dates?). Then bought a new pair of slippers. Because I kind of need them after wearing through the ones I'm wearing now. I've been going through the things I need to restock and managed to catch two sales in a row so fucking score. Of course now I have to wait on things to arrive... and see when I'll be expected to start moving shit upstairs... *shudder* I'm trying not to buy anything frivolous right now. Just pre-ordering frivolous things for the future. Ahem. There are still games I want, but... I need to make my way through a few that I already have, first.
A picture of my chocobos made it into the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority's Anime Boston 2010 Flickr gallery. LONG NAME. But kinda awesome. I'm looking forward to a short break from crocheting, though... mostly because my hand still hurts.
Alright, alright, so you want to see the table. Here's the full spread. And a little more detail to the left, and a little more detail to the right. And who the hell is that dork dressed as femme!Dante? Or a bunny bitch. Or... okay, I didn't get any pictures of OrgLIX!Ienzo. Again. Stop looking at me like that. We had some OrgLIX fans visit us so it's okay.
I'm still not quite walking in straight lines. As much as I love my new ass-kickers, high heeled boots with a slight platform lift are a little touch of murder. But just a little. Out of all the clothes I wore, go figure, the leather corset was the most comfortable. Of course, when one reaches roughly the 7-8 hour mark, it becomes a touch less comfortable. After 12+ hours there's a need to breathe again. But it's still comfy and actually seemed to take care of the back problem I keep having. (Nothing quite like feeling like your spine is actually trying to break through your flesh and escape from your body. I wish I were making this up.)
There are still a few things I need to photograph and all that, but for the most part the Etsy shop is open and running again. I only had one person actually complain about prices again this year, and she knew it was time to take off immediately afterward. Possibly because I stood up before I'd planned to tell her that she could set her own prices after she had put as much effort into something--but she was gone before I completely left my seat. I refuse to feel badly about my smug satisfaction. That was on OrgLIX!Ienzo day, which makes it funnier.
And yes, Greg did come visit. So he gets a pardon... for now.
I close with a link in case there was any interest as to what went on during Nobuo Uematsu's panel.
And, um... I need more caffeine. And games.
