I think the danger of working with leather is officially upon me now. Sign #1: unpacked my leather working tools. All of them are in perfect shape. Just need ot sharpen the blade. Sign #2: ordered $8 worth of tooling leather scrap. I was expecting a few pieces. Got an enormous assortment of decently sized pieces to play with. $8! Sign #3: set out into the big bad world today to find a small wooden cutting board to work on. Came back with a 12" x 12" solid marble slab for $10. (Professional leather workers tend to use marble.) Granted I haven't the first clue about how to dye the leather after, but baby steps.

Then found out I could get a baby orchid, from Hawaii, with shipping costs, for $21.50. It's a little more than I want to spend right now because I made a deal with someone for a McFarlane Voldo figure because I am dumb but yay, orchid! At some point. (The extreme local mark-ups for common varieties are fucking frustrating.)

Birth By Sleep US release date is officially September 7 2010. For... some reason the European release date is three days later. If that's not filling you with internal squee, then how about Leonard Nimoy And Mark Hamill Lending Voices To 'Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep'. Oh. Yeah. Hell yeah. (Though I hope Hamill isn't voicing who I think he might be voicing... I was looking forward to a certain someone being a bad-ass...)

E3 is going to kill me. So dead.
