Warm Weather Makes the Cold-Blooded Quite Happy.
And after three months of waiting, my lil' Minimates KARR arrived! Hi, yes, I can still enjoy watching Knight Rider. No I do not consider this a flaw. But I'd still like to hear KITT say, "Sometimes you can be a real dick, Michael."
From my Tumblr, because I found it informative: "Between responding to 'How are you?' with 'Still ovulating, unfortunately.' and swearing to introduce myself from now on as 'I'm never going to have sex with you.', I figure I’m well-prepared for the hermit life. That and wearing my Rinzler shirt to do grocery shopping."
Today has been kind of stupidly productive. I finally managed to give into the insane little idea of making macaroni and cheese from scratch. Thing is, I wanted to mix in two diced jalapenos (seeds reserved for later evil use, wha ha ha), a hell of a lot of broccoli and a load of turkey bacon, so... I wound up filling my casserole dish to the brim. (Bread crumbs? Pft. Crumbled chunks of bread are superior.) Not complaining. It was thoroughly awesome and Cassie agreed. And I have no idea how many weeks the left-overs are going to last, but... a while. Especially since I can switch off with Ramen as 6-packs were 2 for $3 again, and really, that had to be taken advantage of. I kind of have a cabinet just for Ramen now... no, I'm not going to take a picture of that. You can imagine it easily enough. Anyway, the wooden bowls I've had for years and years and have been using for Ramen, soup and the like, finally started to break up and fall apart... so I started on a quest for more bowls. In this case, the internet was kind of an asshole rather than a help. But today I managed to pick up two perfect, gorgeous bowls, four much-needed dish towels and six as-needed dish cloths, all for under $15. And it is warm and spring-like in the spring, which is very unusual for these parts. I am pleased, frankly. Until the allergens make me a total wreck but up to that point, I shall bask.
In other news, yes I did see the Tiger & Bunny "cosplay porn". Yes it is deliciously MST3K-able. I also find it about 1,000 times more watchable than standard American hardcore porn, so it's worth a look if you're curious. But dude, the cuddling was still surprising. *grin* (I'm telling you, it's downright fascinating in an anthropological way.)
And now that I've bored/frightened you all quite enough, how about just one link and I'll wander off to amuse myself and plot on what to work on next. Watch this. No, just watch this.

Oh man, the casserole dish is making me hungry! Jalapenos sound like an excellent addition.
Oh god, I saw the preview for the cosplay AV and the screen was shaking from how hard I was giggling. Dunno how I'd be able to sit through the entire thing. Although d'awww at the cuddling.

Jalapenos are good in everything! Well, almost. I clearly need to try growing my own, though. The ones at the store are in need of a lot of help. Since this is New England, though... Oh well, the cranberries are always awesome. (I keep getting really tempted to mix Sriracha and dark chocolate in something, so we'll see what happens there.)
It was so surreal. But from the get-go it was presented as far from serious, so the tone was right. And "Bunny" was pretty decent to look at (constant wig adjustment and all), so hey. I was just surprised to see the hair stroking and the cuddling. *snort* I've been not-so-secretly encouraging people to see it just for the sake of re-writing the scene with their own "corrections". I'm a touch evil that way.
