And Some More Stuff
Finally added all of the leftover Anime Boston stuff to the Etsy store, plus updated many other things, and hopefully everything is done because I spent all of yesterday taking pictures and a huge chunk of today doing the remaining work and DAMMIT IT'S TIME TO BE LAZY AND WONDERFULLY USELESS FOR A FEW DAYS. Ahem. There are a few Muse Dragon hatchlings, a handful of Bunnehs, some chocobo chicks and a lot of shinies. If any LJ friends/acquaintances want anything, I'll share the AB-exclusive 10% coupon with you before you order. (Or I will hold things for up to a month if you'd rather do it that way.) Though I admit it, there was one Muse Dragon hatchling that I had to keep.
And I am taking this opportunity to advertise Schala-Kitty's bookmarks like crazy because LOOK AT THESE SPARKLY TRON BOOKMARKS THEY ARE SO COOL. *cough* The Tron styles will be available online in the relatively near future, along with a lot of other awesome things--but in the meantime, check out her other awesomeness. And I am already experimenting with identity disk charms, myself...
So yes, Anime Boston was glorious fun and full of pizza and cheesecake and seeing a selection of hotties so it's hard to go wrong. (Though I assume outright saying, "I don't want anything like a relationship, I would just like to see you naked once or twice" would scare them away pretty quick...) I could have reached over the table and hugged the girl who said of the beadwork, "You know, you really are under-charging for these..." (Yes. Yes, I do know. But it must be balanced.) Then again there were quite a few people of much awesomeness who stopped by. It does my heart good to know that Suki is truly loved, along with so many of the chocobos. I will never stop loving people walking by, catching a glimpse, and either stopping dead or immediately changing direction. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be able to support myself doing what I do. Other times I realize that's not really the point.
Physically, I did really well this year. My body had some "moments", but there was nothing extreme. Of course I was fucking freezing the whole time I was in the alley, but I kind of expected that. Air conditioning and I rarely get along. No, not even on the day I wore pants. If I ever do manage to do a femme!Tron, methinks it will have to include that little black pleated miniskirt. ...I wonder if you can find pantyhose with circuit patterns... or if glow in the dark paints would stick and stretch well... *needs to stop thinking about this immediately*
Inevitably, Square-Enix goes after my money again. Having seen the prototype for Dissidia Play Arts Kai Squall, I was... sort of turned off in a major way. ...And then I saw shots of the actual figure. And... *sigh* You all realize this is mostly so Dante and Nero have someone to annoy, right? I'm glad to be around so many other people who understand the need to buy toys for their toys, though. And really, Squall is quite the toy. Still kind of desperately hoping someone will come along with a stand-alone 1/6 scale lightcycle... which reminds me of some more purchases I made with profits, because I am dumb but also know a bargain when I see one and pounce with claws out and teeth exposed so that no one else gets the chance to get there first. Of course there are classic Thundercats things coming out soon too... *sighs again* Yeah, I'll be working again real soon. I'll have to.
I guess the Playstation Network blew the fuck up while we were gone, huh? I never would have noticed if the internet had not informed me. ...No, I'm actually being serious about that. I have no need for connectivity unless I'm looking for a specific demo or game, which is incredibly rare.
Yay link time. The behind the scenes story of Portal 2's ARG is just as interesting as the ARG itself. Neatness! (I really need to look more into Dejobaan Games. I love the sense of humor, and they're local.)
I think oldschool gamers will enjoy this image.
I really don't need to be reminded about another game I'll be wanting in the near-ish future, but Child of Eden keeps looking incredible to me.
As does Shadows of the Damned.
Tron papercraft arcade cabinet. Waaant. Cannot accomplish, but want anyway.
